The Best SaaS Software Tools to Boost Business Growth

SaaS growth is much harder than what you might think based on the thousands of success stories. Even when bootstrapping is used, great software takes a lot more time and dedication.

Hubstaff's journey from a fledgling startup to one that is a leading time tracking solution was long and difficult. We had many questions about the next steps and how to grow our company.

Add to that the fact Hubstaff comes with three desktop apps and requires us to be laser-focused in our pursuit of new features.

Third-party apps are used whenever possible.

Because we are so product-focused we do not want to waste time creating tools that already exist.

Although it seems obvious, almost every product that you try and integrate doesn't work out right due to unforeseeable limitations.

Additionally, building your tools puts marketing and design at odds.

Marketing wants to view a lot more reports but development doesn’t want to spend the time building them. Marketing wants lots and lots of images. However, development doesn't want to store these images in the code base. There are many more. We use third-party apps for all of these reasons.

Here are six SaaS apps that Hubstaff uses to grow.

Hubstaff employs more than 20 SaaS software tools. This is a list containing six of our favorite SaaS products that has helped us grow our business.

Hubstaff Tasks

Good project management systems are essential for all businesses. They can greatly help in the initial stages of business growth. Hubstaff Tasks, which is our Agile project management tool, is what we use.

It allows us to keep track of project updates and assign tasks. We also use it to communicate with one another on a day to day basis. It's where our teams from all over the world communicate to get work done.

Hubstaff Tasks' Kanban interface makes it very easy to navigate even large projects. Each project is divided into multiple columns. These columns are populated by Kanban card tasks.

Each Kanban card includes a variety details about the task. A detailed description of the task is available, along with the tasks' followers, so that everyone can be kept informed. Hubstaff Tasks makes it easy to label tasks, create checklists, and add labels.

Hubstaff Tasks offers Agile Sprints which allows you to concentrate on the most crucial tasks. This allows us not to miss deadlines and allows us complete tasks efficiently.

Hubstaff Tasks works seamlessly with Hubstaff's time tracker, so they can both be combined to provide high levels of productivity.

Once the Hubstaff Tasks projects have been created, time is tracked directly to them via the time tracker app. This allows us focus on getting work done, rather than checking to see if there is any progress.

Visual Website Optimizer, (VWO), is a tool that allows us to continuously improve and test our pages. Hubstaff's primary marketing goal is to constantly improve each page for greater conversions.

This is an example for a simple multivariate exam that was run on a staffing webpage. You can see in the image below that 7 is the winning combination. This conversion rate was 23.33% higher than the control which was 9.35%. This is a clear sign that something is working. We just doubled our page's response rate, so let us find out what is driving the positive changes.
